When I wrote my report two days ago, I had no idea what was going to come. The browns are eating right now. Steve Dickey and I fished yesterday and I landed three trophy fish, two browns and a rainbow. We lost four others that were as big or bigger. We were using Megabass jerkbaits 110+2 in Elegy Bone and Wake and React. This morning Steve had some clients and they landed three trophy fish. Two browns and one rainbow on shad flies. All fish were 4-5-lbs. I ended up catching a 20-inch 4.25-lb brown as well on the Megabass. It's incredible right now. The fish are everywhere. With the 110+2 we were throwing in the middle of the lake, on flats, and near the bluffs. We didn't really get any bites right on the bluff--they were always about half-way to the boat.

Those are some nice ones.  Congrats.

Question... are those browns triploids? Their coloring looks much different than the browns we catch down here on the White below Bull Shoals.

If so, then maybe Arkansas Fish and Game ought to be stocking some of them.

They were all diploids.

The fishing in the outlets is unreal right now, too, FYI. I have landed two 20-inch rainbows today. This is unbelievable. Steve Dickey and his client landed a 7-lb walleye and a 3.5-lb walleye last night as well as several 15-18" trout. The big fish are eating and it's the time to be here. I wonder if lack of pressure has anything to do with it?
