stuartsx5 Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Is Larry Gale access open? Cant seem to find any info. Earl Stuart fishin is livin
fishinwrench Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 It's open..... but good luck. If you wait until the coldest/nastiest day of the week you could probably get launched/loaded/parked. Mitch f 1
Mitch f Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 I heard Larry Gayle was a zoo "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
stuartsx5 Posted April 9, 2020 Author Posted April 9, 2020 That's the feedback I'm getting. Between the cold front and ramp issues I think I will find another way to celebrate Good Friday. Earl Stuart fishin is livin
mixermarkb Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 What about Coffman? Wouldn't be til next week, so I know things could change, but...
Bill Babler Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Any of you river rats heard anything on Brown's Bend access at the back of the Golden Goose? I'm sure its a zoo with the snaggers. There is a small ramp in Pine Cove and also one in the back of Rainy but Brown's is closer to our house at Deer/Turkey Camp. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

I could be wrong, but I think Wigwam gets the biggest portion of the snagging boats. It holds a ton of boats and the way the roads are, it is usually just easier to go to Wigwam. I’ve only seen Browns Bend from the water a few times while fishing and it didn’t seem nearly as hectic as Wigwam.
Bushbeater Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 I fished down around Larry Gale yesterday when it was 80 degrees and it was nuts. You would've thought it was 4th of July. Big cruisers, pontoons everywhere and a bass boat on every good spot. There were even people pulling kids on tubes. It appears dawn and dusk fishing from here on out.

Not enough water right now to launch there. Need a lake level of at least 657.5 to launch/load a bass boat there.
FishermanTodd Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Larry Gale was a zoo this week. I’m a college kid and a non essential worker so I have been on the water everyday since last Friday. I have been bouncing around from Larry gale, PB2, and mccubins. There was almost a fish fight at Larry gale on Wednesday. There was also a guy who had is boat tied up at Larry gale and had the audacity to set up a full fledged fishing cleaning station on the small courtesy dock at Larry gale!! You have also got people throwing fish guts and spoonbill remains almost anywhere but the water! You can smell the place a mile away. Mccubins is a disaster if it’s own. Watched someone struggle to get the boat on the trailer for every bit of 20 minutes. Someone got fed up and backed their trailer off the one lanes paved ramp and into the gravel!! Those of you that are familiar with mccubins can imagine how that went. We counted 4 boats with the engine cover popped off with people trying to get the boat they take out 3x a year getting blown into the banks by the wind. If you like people watching, go to a public boat ramp the next warm day. Krazo and Seth 1 1
