Way off the road and mostly on private ground. I have seen others looking in a couple places for years I have not investigated. May have to put on my ghillie suit and head out on a recon mission to investigate. Now it is really hard being stealthy looking in fencerows along the roads in Asparagus spots. Pat and I usually tag team those spots. One driving and the other jumps out to look while the driver watches the road for traffic. Its like hurry up and get back in someone's coming. . Foghorn Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 Used to find a lot of asparagus and morels along the railroad right of way. Wife, Susie'e grandma had a couple beds on the old family place years ago also. We would also stop along the highway and pick asparagus off and on. I pretty much quit that being allergic to poison ivy and dealing with it. Cheaper to buy it in the stores and not have all the itching and ivy dry or calamine lotion.  BilletHead 1

I had a place on one of my farms pick gallon of Mushrooms each day. Come home one day neighbors across the highway was over there picking my Mushrooms. Told them what I thought! They stole my Dogs too. Had a guy needing money. Asked me if I bought his Boat would I take him to my fishing spot? Suuure! oneshot

MOPanfisher Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 I need to salt mine again. 4h fescue clumps there have been quite salt tolerant over the years!

MOPanfisher Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Deer are the only problem I have had with salting asparagus. They do like it.
