Meanmouth

[Mr. Smallfish]

Caught this at Bull Shoals today.  Striped like a Smallmouth but color was very green, not like most brownies.  Is it a Meanmouth?

Looks like 100% smallmouth to me.

doesn't really show up  in the picture, but just never seen one as bright green as it was.

Pretty sure it's a smallmouth.  They can vary in color, but the pattern is pure smallie.

Smallie. They change color to match their environment.

sm. when you catch a mm, you can immediately see the spot influence, even if they are gold or green.

Without having the fish in hand, my opinion is this is a Smallmouth Bass and not a Meanmouth. Nevertheless, it is a good fish, congrats!!
