Just wanted to state what a lot of you already know, but this forum community is full of great folks. I have learned some super tips and met some very generous people and yesterday was no exception. Met up with Ryan Miloshewski and had a great time. Exchanged strategies and a few baits. Ryan was even talking with a few strangers at the fly shop and offered to take them out for some night fishing. It impresses me how many folks are willing to share tips and even give away flies and lures so that someone else has a chance at success.

I did manage one nice rainbow on a brown 1/8oz. PJ's maribou jig and missed another but it was pretty tough to find slow enough water to make a decent drift from the bank. Im inspired to start tying some other sculpin creations from bucktail and zonker strips now.

A big thanks to @Ryan Miloshewski, we'll fish again soon!

Nice to meet you Tyler! We will have to meet up again. Gates are off and fishing is really good today between work meetings. We did ok last night..couple of solid 18-19" rainbows. No walleye..

OAF is one of the best things about the internet.  Scratch that.  It's the best thing.

Agreed my friend. Now we need to get out and fish safely.

@MNtransplant keep this a great community by continuing to share your experiences and help others on the site. Looking forward to your adventures.

Speaking of sharing tips and ideas.  I was down a few weeks ago behind the darn with no water running and it was low!  I had never been behind the darn with the water completely off.  We were having zero luck and my neighbor tied on a torpedo of all things and started catching fish.  So I did the same we probably had 15 in two hours before we had to head back.  Anyone else ever try throwing top water baits.

That’s a first for me.  👍Were they nice ones?
