Ryan Miloshewski Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 Catching an Ozark smallmouth on a fly rod has been a goal of mine for a while. I went with Ryan Walker of Ozarks Smallmouth Alliance yesterday morning and boy was it fun. We caught a lot of fish and they were all healthy fighting machines. I landed two at 16-inches, and lost two that were probably 18-20-inches. The fact they get so big in the small Ozark streams is amazing to me. If you want to catch them on the fly, hit up Ryan Walker. He is the real deal. And yea man, I had two take my fly that were absolute tanks. Couldn't believe it. Probably a little bit of panic led to them not being caught hah!
