I didn't look around too much at the Branson BPS last week when we were there but it seemed fairly well stocked.  Didn't see too many bare spots.

Got enough tackle to outfit 4-5 for a dream trip, and Johnny Morris is the devil. Fork him! Travel is on the uptick. Have a bunch of hotel & restaurant customers tied to airports. TSA screenings are up to 600K a day, 2.5-2.8 M a day is usual.

What did Johnny do to you.  Is it to hideous to speak about it?😆

I don't know what BPS is doing.  My partner and I needed some crappie stuff last week - jig head hooks, sinkers, tubes, line, so he made a trip to Bass Pro in Springfield.  He came back without half the items because some shelves were bare and the staff said they were out of those things.

I went to the Bass Pro website that night and ordered the items he couldn't get for in-store pickup at the same store - Springfield.  The next day I received an email that my order was ready for pickup, and the day after that I went to Customer Service at BPS and picked up my complete order.  Sounds like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing - keeping store shelves stocked vs. online sales, that is.

BPS in Springfield is short on stuff just like everywhere else. A couple times so far this year I’ve needed to pick up a few camping items for scouts trips and family camping trips. Academy, Bass Pro, Walmart all short on camping and other outdoor gear. I went to Bass Pro this morning to return something and stopped in the fly shop part of the store just for grins. They had a decent selection of materials but pre-tied flies and apparel were really low.

And don’t even mention the ammo shortage. I teach firearms classes and demand for the classes is higher than ever but you can’t find ammo anywhere. I taught a pistol class for some ladies last Saturday and spent an entire day running around Springfield, trying to find store that had 9mm and .380 ammo and weren’t limiting the number of boxes per person.

I posted on here when this all started that there would be shortages.  At the time I was basing that just off of manufacturing and supply chain issues.  At the time I didn't realize how long this would last and that the demand would also spike like I have never seen before.  I stocked up big time this spring and I am glad I did.

In Northwest Arkansas every WM and our Academy is wiped out.  I bet the Walmart closest to me a a total of 4 spools of line on the shelf yesterday.  Bass Pro here is in much better shape than anything else but a lot of outs.  I am going to check our local shop today.

Good news in all this:  a whole bunch of people have started fishing and that is a great thing for the sport.  I have seen people fishing local neighborhood ponds that I used to never see people fishing in.  And now there will be 3 or 4 groups of people fishing them.  This world needs more people fishing...

Can they all go to areas where I DON'T fish please???😀  I quit going to the river because I got so tired of waiting on people at the ramp who weren't aware of basic ramp etiquette....

I was there in Springfield Saturday looking for some weight stoppers. None to be had as well as many other things. Wife is wanting a family ski boat for the kids and grand kids to. Not a one to be found. except they had four used ones brought from the Rock. They were rentals. Lot of hours on them for one year.

Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???B)

haha- I hear you.  I have had some similar frustrations this spring and fall but it just reminds me to be thankful I grew up with my Dad teaching me these things and to be patient while other people learn.
