Weather was hot and the wet wading was comfortable. Crowds were moderate on wednesday, but it looked like a floodgate event on thursday. The water is slightly high and sight fishing is tuff in most areas. My wife knocked them out of the park on the first day. She was dead drifting a gray scud in the deeper runs. Tight lining with no indicator for those who might ask. She was putting the hammer on me, so I moved off a little farther downstream. Didn't want to draw attention to the fact that she caught them and I didn't. This is a trick that I learned from "Foghorn". His wife quite often puts the hammer on him. There were lots of families with kids fishing on thursday. You really had to be conscious of back casts and hook sets. Sometimes the kids would just wander around behind you. It was good to get out even though the fishing is far from up to par at bssp. Most of the fish were dinks with an occasional  small fish. I found two gut feeders that were borderline lunkers but failed to fool either one.

Well we had nothing better to do, so we fished again today. My wife is really getting into this retirement thing. I was surprised to find that it was basically uncrowded today. Go figure it is usually packed house on friday. We didn't catch a big number of fish, but had a good time. I found one of the gut feeders again today. He was busy doing his gut feeding thing so I drifted a little white fly to him and "bam" I missed the hook set. Never got another take on several more drifts. Another great day on the creek with my wife.

Susie and I fished and visited Wednesday with Laker and Miss Sandy at BSSP. Caught some fish even though Laker is still giving Sandy flies tied on dull hooks.(Her comment, not mine). Was a chance to enjoy a beautiful days with "old friends" and catch up on their new grandson,Quinn. Pretty crowded and they were cutting moss in zone 1 early, but we still caught a lot of small stockers. Great day!

Was great to see you guys. We are very much enjoying Susie's homemade from scratch bread and jam. Retied Miss Sandy's box of flies yesterday, and made her pick out and test each hook. No more excuses on lost fish. Hope you guys had a good day on Thursday. I think we are going to wait until midday today and head back over for a few hours.
