Anyone catching them?   I usually  catch them in the summer.   So far I have only caught 2 and very few brown fish.

The spots I have caught were on the rip rap at twin bridges. And I fished  the main lake area down around the mile long bridge last week and caught a number of brownies. However I’ve not caught any brownies from mutton Creek south.

I have NOT caught any spots this year. Now, I havent bass fished very much but I have caught mostly smallies. Most of my fishing has been around the main lake area. I caught a personal best 4 lb smallie last week on a shakeyhead. Fought like a freight train. Love the smallies!!!!! And we need to protect them down there!!!

I have not been bass fishing, but am regularly catching large mouth and a few smallies, but have not caught a Kentucky/spot yet this year.  Last year I kept and ate quite a few.  Earlier in the year I caught a lot of small mouth.

I guess that I am using the wrong baits or fishing the wrong areas.  I’ve been using shaky and fishing between Hartley and Burch’s Branch.  That has been the most productive section for spots for me until now.

Mine were all coming from main lake points on a football jig . Let’s say from hawker to the big concrete thing that keeps water in ...since we have censored the D word 😆

Thanks a lot guys.  I think I will go to the sauna Friday morning and look for spots from Hartley north.

Spots tend to hang around the rocks and steeper banks/points. My two cents!🤔
