Quillback Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 Well looking at this - Docks are approved for the mooring of the owner’s vessel and the storage of gear essential to the vessel’s operation and this - The following items that are also prohibited on any floating facility include, but are not limited to: I could see where they may have you over a barrel. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck.
bobby b. Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 Is this the latest for TR? https://www.swl.usace.army.mil/Portals/50/siteimages/TRLOC/SMP_DRAFT3_TableRock_20191119.pdf?ver=2019-11-19-090800-613
Bill Babler Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 Something that is popular on Lake O. is all the flashing multi color lights, including stop lights that go thru a red, green, yellow sequence. I'm seeing them all over TR now and I know the Corps. does not like that one bit. Our neighbor at Shell Knob decorated his dock like this and also played loud country music all nite. He said to keep the coons away, but the subdivision managers made him take it all down. It was really obnoxious to begin with. Quillback Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 There's a cove not far from point 23 that was really good this spring for swimming a Keitech. However, someone on a dock had a local radio station playing and it was LOUD. Had a buddy that was in there one day and talked to the guy that was in charge of the radio and he said it was to keep the otters away. I know of two other docks near Big M that have radios playing 24/7. Hard to find a quiet lake around here.

I've been familiar with their rules, in detail, for 20 years, and have just encountered this for the first time. TR Boater, Have you actually been cited by the COE for this? The Amenities section you reference has been eliminated from the draft copy of the 2019 Shore Management Plan for TR. Bobby
MOPanfisher Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 I can see the items that "create the appearance of human habitation". Heck I know where one is painted purple and white (actually haven't been by it in a while so not entirely sure), which I guess is better than say Jayhawk colors. vernon 1
