I really don't trout fish enough anywhere else to claim to know anything. The Niangua and NFOW has been pretty much it for me for the last 8-10 years, as far as trout water.

Or used to I will say. They absolutely do, or did. I haven't noticed it as much in the last several years, but for quite a while you couldn't find a fish with all of its fins still intact.
