Members David Ranger Cherokee
I have recently bought a 1995 Ranger Cherokee. It's very clean and has been kept up very well. I've only had to do some minor electrical work and add new cleats so far. I have been trying to figure out how to fix the 2 live wells. I turn the switch on and no fill no nothing. Does anyone have the schematics, or diagram, or pictures they can share of the boat so I can find where the pumps and wiring are?
Dutch
Is it a fill pump or an aerator pump? Do you hear anything? If you don’t then you may have a blown fuse or something blocking the impeller.
fishinwrench
A '95 should just have a single fill/recirc pump for each livewell, and a breaker panel. Do the switches have lights on them?

I understand the fill pump fills the tanks and the aerator shoots water to keep water fresh for fish. No, I don't hear anything when I flip the switch in on position. I does have a light that comes on, on the switch. I've checked and replaced all the fuses in the box because they were all kind of oxidized a bit. If the light comes on then you have power to the switch. Odds are that the pump is bad, but there is either a fuse or a breaker between the switch and the pump. Sounds like you've already replaced it. Pull the pump !

Will do, but as I stated in my original post...Does anyone have the schematics, or diagram, or pictures they can share of the boat so I can find where the pumps and wiring are? Upon my observation if I'm correct I think I have to unscrew my whole deck front and back? I don't see any other way to get to the pumps.
jdmidwest
Pumps are usually in back by the transom. They will have an inlet hole. fishinwrench
Livewell circuits are typically tan w/ black stripe. If you're at all uneasy about tackling it yourself, there are guys that do it for a living, and they have bills to pay. I understand I can take it to a shop but the whole point for me is to learn more about the boat and trying to DIY is usually less cost since I'm still out of work from this virus shut down.
