I’m going to fish today, 12/25, and 12/28 so I might still add a species or two but if I get stuck at 83 and match @Johnsfolly’s high water mark that seems pretty fitting to me. Since getting on INaturalist, cleaned up a few questionable species and dropped last years total species, ended dropping one questionable species and dropped to 82 species. So your 83 has got me by one buddy!! laker67 and Ham 1 1
FishnDave Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 82...83.... amazing! I really enjoy following what @Ham and @Johnsfolly are catching. I even learned about a few species I hadn’t heard of before, like Northern Studfish, which I then actually caught! I just had my best year for species ever...and even got generous with separating Common and Mirror Carp, and Goldfish and Comet Goldfish...I caught 33 species this year. I had my owns self-imposed limitations... flies only, no bait or scent, smallest hook size of #12 or #10, no saltwater, the only micros were incidental. I was amazed to catch 18 species out of one very unlikely creek. @Ham, good luck on your next two trips this year. I hope you and @Johnsfolly each exceed 100 species in 2021... that is a heckuva goal! I’ll help if I can. laker67 and Johnsfolly 2
