oneshot Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 For Channel Catfish I have been told chumming helps. I have chummed with Soured Corn and Range Cubes. Seems I have just as good luck not chumming. Been using SSS Blood Stink Bait. oneshot
fishinwrench Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 Easier, in my opinion, to find the fish vs. trying to corral them where I want them to be.

Quillback Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 You can buy 25 lb. bags of fish feed from Tractor Supply. You have to be consistent, go to the same place every day at the same time and throw some food in there. snagged in outlet 3 and Terrierman 2

Had a pond was feeding them and quit you could tell the difference in the fish but no difference in the bite. Got a guy says he is going to go with me keep me out of trouble. oneshot snagged in outlet 3 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 I knew a guy that fed his catfish with food in a coffee can. He could walk on his dock and rattle the the food in the can and the catfish would come from all over the pond right to him. Swimming with their whiskers out of the water like Pavlovs dog. fishinwrench 1
MOPanfisher Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 My father used to feed the fish in the little pond we have. He would ride the mower over to it. They learned quickly and the water would be boiling before he ever got close enough to throw the feed. For a couple years after he passed away fish would come to the surface every time I mowed around the pond. If I were going to chum a spot on a lake I would buy sinking feed, and bait the spot, go get a burger and come back about dark. Corn will certainly bring in carp if done over a period of time as well.
