Well I Can Still Work

Today cut some Firewood. My wife came home. Lets butcher Chickens.

Son came over we separated Chickens. Was heating water and started plucking but had bunch of Pin Feathers. Said the heck with this, lets skin them. So we skinned them. Got half the Chicken House cleaned out.

My Son said my Granddaughter wants to go Deer Hunting. I told him I wish I had known this is Youth Season. Told him week before Firearms Deer Season I will put a Blind up behind his House then we'll just hunt there. Told him I have a 30-30 and I think she can handle it.

Hard at it this morning but wind might come up too much.

You can use news paper and burn the pin feathers off.  We did that all the time when we killed fryers.

My wife is getting ready to retire me.

Had Flue and Gutters cleaned. Found I can’t climb a ladder.

My wife said we an’t going to have to clean the Flue out much more because we’re going to Propane. Said I don’t need to be cutting wood.

Hey I can cut few days at a time. 😢

Cut a bunch of Firewood today. Was told no hunting or fishing because we need Freezer space for a Hog and couple Deer.

So it is burning leaves and cutting firewood, plus have to spade the garden.

Well blowed bunch of leaves but it was too windy to burn.

Went got a load of Firewood came home unloaded the wood then burnt the leaves. Over at KOA they was having a fit. LOL 

Tomorrow we shall see.

Well darn I had some big pieces of wood straight grain thought I would split it in half where I could get it on the wagon and take it to the Splitter.

Well cracked it. That was far as I got. So take the Splitter down there.

Little kid across the street form my old house came over one day while I was splitting wood.

He said: "Wood splits easier when it's frozen"  He was right....

It helps more if a person can use two hands too. I use to show off for the girls splitting wood.

Found I have to have my Rifle on a rest. I tried shooting off hand but the Rifle would drop and I shot low.
