I seared off a venison shoulder roast (also a MD contribution) in a Dutch oven. Braising liquid is a cup of reconstituted porcini mushrooms in beef stock, a cup of cabernet, onions, garlic cloves, splash of worchestershire sauce and a couple bay leaves. Into 350 oven for a couple of hours. More to come 😉

Brisket done in the oven with apple cider, then on the grill with a honey/soy sauce glaze for a bit to get the outside right. Sliced this up and delivered it and some sides to relatives and friends yesterday.

Roasted turkey breast, cornbread dressing, corn casserole, mashed taters and gravy today.
