@Johnsfolly

I checked through your list compared to mine.  Is Smallmouth Bass on the list?

I assume Spotted Bass and Kentucky Spotted Bass are the same...I'm not even sure what the correct name is. 🙄

I also call Hybrid Sunfish a separate species.  I know there are many possible crosses, I just lump them together...and they are naturally occurring.  Caught one yesterday, as it turns out. :)

Looks like you got all mine on there (short list, ha!).

Good catch on the Smallmouth bass - added. Must have overlooked due to your smallmouth buffalo 😅

Spotted and kentucky spotted are the same species.

As an FYI you and I only caught one fish that Ham did not and that was the common shiner.

I caught a bunch in Iowa this year. They seemed to be everywhere in one river we were wade-fishing!

They were all over Kansas in the creeks we fished last year as well. I also have a few spots in Columbia that are go to if I want to catch them.

I think there are some in one or two creeks north of the MO River, just NW of StL.  We can try for them if you want, if you come up this summer.  I know you can't resist the siren call of bullhead on fly! 😁

That reminds me...I caught some Central Mudminnows years ago in northern Illinois.  I don't think I've ever put them on my lifelist.
