I watched this the other day and wondered if some of this could be viable in Taney

MDC added boulders a few years back and they've created pockets in the gravel where fish hold.  I'm not if anything further can be done except put more boulders.  It does no good to dig out gravel because it will fill back in.  And smaller riprap rock will move when they open flood gates creating possible something that will hurt instead of help the tailwater.  The best thing MDC can do is shore up the banks directly below the dam so that more gravel won't wash in when the flow is high.

I always think of boulders being too big to trip over, VW Bug size, how tall are the night fishermen at Taney?

I'm surprised MDC  added rocks, at RRSP they keep taking them out to maintain the canal look.

They aren't that big and they are sinking into the gravel as time goes on...

The kind of habitat enhancement would be a major undertaking and by design would be self cleaning to push channel shallowing down current..O2 and Lower temps are a benefit, it would take a sizable excavator and humongous boulders along with steam side changes to stabilize the banks...something this video covers...something worth doing?  I think so....needs a plan...a call to people who have done this successfully in the past would be wise....
