Trophy Country

Anyone ever fished at Trophy Country?  It's a private ranch near Thomas Hill full of old strip pits, allegedly stocked full of fish.   Lots of private hunting too, but I'm only interested in the fishing.

I've passed a few times headed to Thomas Hill but know little about the facility. Sorry.

At one time they used to advertise with billboards around Columbia. Had phone number but don't  know if those billboards are still up.

What kind and size fish.  If bass and I had a chance to beat my best 6 fish limit I’d be interested.

Looks like lakes so I assume bass.

I would need more information but it sounds tempting to me.  That is less than a half day guide trip.

Me and a buddy fished those pits (Peabody coal) back when the only way you could get to them was either on foot, or via a dirt bike. 

I have a pic somewhere of a 5+ pounder that I caught there.   

Good memories 🙂  I had a Hodaka Dirt Squirt that made numerous trips back into the Peabody property to hunt and fish....back in the day.

Odds are that anyone who owned a Hodaka, and could keep it running.....grew up to be a pretty darn good mechanic. 😂
