I’m quite sure of that.  I haven’t even tried to get the mail.

At our age and this kind of weather, you would think someone would at least net the mail for us.

I was thinking of starting a thread similar to this. It looks like were not going to crack frezzing this week or next. What are the coldest conditions that you will go out in. For me I would think about going down to the mid 20's if the wind isn't too bad, 10mph or less. Years ago I went to Stockton in febuary and many of the coves had ice on them. we didn't stay out too long.

The answer may not lie at the bottom of a glass, but you should always check

Great post! I have a mailman that will call me and say no reason to walk down the driveway today!

Now after hunting with you again this season please tell us (me again) how cold you get now :) .

I prefer it get into the 40's during the day.  I'll start when it's colder.  When this weather breaks those fish better look out!

definitely get cold feet and hands out there pretty easily, but how cold they feel is inversely proportional to how many fish you're catching

Buddy in Herman has checked ice on his pond, two inches.  He ordered wax and meal worms today. He will be ice fishing by the weekend up there he says.

In the past if the water was soft I would fish...this time of year is dynamite on lower LOZ with a jerker.  I’ve fished many days in the single digits and teens, and you don’t take many casts so busting ice is only a part time job.  The downside is I have busted a number of bills off by landing baits on skim ice I could not see.  At this age I need it warm enough that I am not busting ice from eyelets....so call it high 20s.
