At our age and this kind of weather, you would think someone would at least net the mail for us. BilletHead
curtisce
I was thinking of starting a thread similar to this. It looks like were not going to crack frezzing this week or next. What are the coldest conditions that you will go out in. For me I would think about going down to the mid 20's if the wind isn't too bad, 10mph or less. Years ago I went to Stockton in febuary and many of the coves had ice on them. we didn't stay out too long. Great post! I have a mailman that will call me and say no reason to walk down the driveway today! 6 minutes ago, curtisce said: I was thinking of starting a thread similar to this. nomolites
In the past if the water was soft I would fish...this time of year is dynamite on lower LOZ with a jerker. I’ve fished many days in the single digits and teens, and you don’t take many casts so busting ice is only a part time job. The downside is I have busted a number of bills off by landing baits on skim ice I could not see. At this age I need it warm enough that I am not busting ice from eyelets....so call it high 20s.
