Got asked to go to a meeting today at the office.

First time in a long time. Probably going to get us ready for upcoming Spring and Illegals coming in.

They keep changing my Job but I still have Chief status.

Well presently I'm over Safety and Logistics but I look for this to change.

During May and June I'm to watch the weather if it is warm with cold front moving in I'm to be all over it. If it looks like we might get High Winds or Tornado if its daylight I'm to spot. If it is dark I'm to watch Radar. We are setting up Weather Stations throughout the area to monitor conditions. Plus the NWS uses them.

I've been trained Swift Water Rescue and I was concerned after losing use of my arm but was told I was to make sure the victim is warm and comfortable. I'm also trained Hazmat. I'm to monitor Train Derailments, Pipelines and Traffic Pileups.

What does Emergency Management have to train for illegal immigrants for?    What are THEY supposed to do? Go hunt them down and give them jobs chasing tornadoes?

We're with Homeland Security which is over Emergency Management. We could be deployed down there to help with feeding and housing. If my wife goes mostly Office Work .

But that is ok because several think we are FEMA because we take FEMA classes but we also take classes through Rail Road, Red Cross, Pipelines, National Guard, and many others.

We were developed after 9/11 with basically nothing other than told we had a Job figure it out.

Well made it back home. My Job changed again. Working in the office.

We are having problems getting things done with COVID-19. Like our Boss said we have all had the Vaccine no reason Line Workers shouldn't have had it by this time.

Plus same problem explaining to some why things take longer in the Hills than in the City.

I've never bought into that line of BS.     We learned more from the story of Little Red Riding Hood.
