PAT92B Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 I’ve got plans on coming down to Bull shoals next weekend Saturday through Tuesday staying near Pontiac marina. Looks like the lake is on the rise I’ve only fished here in the fall. I’ll be fishing for bass what’s everybody’s opinion on if I should change lakes go somewhere less effected by the rising water or will the fishing still be good. Thanks for any info or opinions

navery Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 In my experience, fishing is better when water is rising. Fish shallow in and around all the new flooded bushes and structure.
mixermarkb Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 I’d come on down. It will be high, but fishing should be great. I’d be ready with spinnerbaits, flukes and senkos, and top waters over the bushes, as well as flipping baits. Bull is big enough that even while rising, it won’t all be muddy, and there will be fish to be caught. Fish24/7 1
Fish24/7 Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Fishing is the best its been in 30 years! Get your bum out there! Theodosia ramp parking lot is full of rigs practically every day it's been that good.Same with Spring Creek ramp.. Not just the bass fishing but walleye whites and crappie too. It's that time of year we all look forward to. I've seen and heard of water temps as low as 60 and as high as 70. Heard somebody caught 37 keeper bass yesterday,I saw the pictures, but I'm sworn to secrecy on the details 🤐
PAT92B Posted May 1, 2021 Author Posted May 1, 2021 Ok sounds like I be down next week. Thanks for helping make up my mind. I’ve fished Stockton and Pomme when it’s high it was really tough that was my concern

Whether it is 4'-7'-or 11' high....there are always fish relating to the eroded edge of the main shoreline.
