My in-laws moved back to Missouri in the early 80's from Pennsylvania to retire and help Susie's Gma with the old home place. The " farm" as we called it was a huge 2700 square foot home sitting on 12 acres ml. It required a lot of yard work with mowing 4 of those acres, weed eating along the creek and spring branch and wife's Gma's 5 flower beds. Father in law decided an 8 hp Snapper riding mower was the mower of choice. While we thought it was a little small for the job, he patiently mowed what he could at a slower pace and left the hand mowing and weed eating to our son and me. The Snapper lasted a long time in spite of him running over garden hose, a couple rabbits, some barbed wire and him banning me from using it. We bought a bigger mower later on to help with the yard work. Not sure what happened to it after he passed away and the mother in law sold the place. It would have been a great find because he took excellent care of it.
