Thinning the herd. part deux

There are no pliers on offer, so Wrench won't grab 'em immediately.  However, in my efforts to reclaim my basement, I have some things to offer.

The USA (Underwater Suspension Apparutus--blame them for the name, not me) are pretty cool if you want to take these beasts and use them correctly. These holders, for lack of a better term, slide on the main line and give you the place to add things like scent (think chunks of shad or chicken livers or the little scent tablets that come with the kit) or light sticks.  I don't see these becoming a must have for bass fishermen, but they should be hot stuff for catfish or if you troll for hybrids or whites.  There are 25 or so holders in four different sizes, a package of three-inch light sticks five packs of two-inch light sticks. Included in the Plano box are 10 or so packs of the scent tablets.  $15 TYD or pick up in Clinton.

Okuma's Red Isis reel is a freshwater version of the tough-as-nails saltwater series by the same name. This reel is no longer made, which is too bad for those folks who chase tough fish.  While it is spooled with line and has a few small scratches from being moved, it is unused.  $30 TYD or pick up in Clinton.

This Pflueger Solara is used and shows a minor bit of wear, but it is spooled with what looks like 20-pound braid. $15 TYD.

And finally, this unused Okuma Cayenne is a neat, small reel that requires an educated or educatable thumb.  It is spooled with 10-pound fluoro and is unused. $15 TYD.

Since I've not cast it, I can't say if it's perfect or not. However, I've had good experiences with Okuma reels in the past.  If you stop in Clinton, it's $8 less...

I just wish they were lefty's

Well...I did a bit of looking in my stash, and I have some left-hand reels.  None are inexpensive, however.  I have a couple of round Abu (5601 and 4601), a Shimano something, a small Calcutta and a couple of Abu Morrums plus two that are collectible (like an Abu 2501 from the Japanese market). If you're interested in any of those, shoot me a PM.

TTT...

The Solara, Cayenne and Okuma are still looking  for homes.  The Cayenne is a small-profile reel.  The scent holders are still looking for love as well.

I'll be posting more items in a different thread.
