fshndoug Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 I don't know why my line gets hooked around the hooks with the big jerk baits when I throw them on spinning rods. Small jerk baits don't seem to . I just like a casting reel better. I like to sweep the hooks into the fish, it is just easier with a casting rod. cheesemaster and snagged in outlet 3 1 1
dwiebenga Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 I use two setups: Smaller baits: Spinning Rod (Falcon Cara) and 8lb Invizx Larger baits: Casting Rod (Falcon Cara Jerkbait Special) and 10lb Invizx I will agree, I fatique faster with the spinning rod. snagged in outlet 3, cheesemaster and Carl W 3
Travis Swift Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 I throw a megabass vision 110+1 pretty much exclusively and I throw them on 7 foot falcon cara 4 power rods with Tatula TWS SV reels. I used to use Pline CXX in 8 pound but I've gone to 7 pound Daiwa Samauri Fluro and it's just an absolute incredible line and this set up will throw this bait a mile. Very happy with this for bass and brown trout both. snagged in outlet 3 and cheesemaster 2
