1-17-22 report

I decided to get my steps in Sunday by walking around the hatchery and fishing the river.  Lots of species,  no real size.  Caught a rainbow my first and third casts, then no more. I did catch a small pickerel so overall I'd call it a win.

Been a while since I fished up by the outlet.  Back when I was younger I could fish that whole stretch to the end of the island.  Caught nice fish in there.

I caught my second biggest rainbow there 8 or 9 years go

I was wondering if it was the same pickerel as was in the 11pt.  They are just as aggressive as their cousin

I've never fished the Spring River.  Going to fix that this summer.

Okey Dokey.  Is that good catfish place still open?  I've driven there just for lunch....

I used to spend many days there each year.  But was only there 4 last year.  It's getting way overdeveloped.

Fred's was still open last time down I think, did not stop in last year for a bite.  Love the pickled tomatoes and walleye fillets.
