Got down to spring today. $10 to park at Twin Bridges. There are signs there with instructions to pay by phone so you don't have to go up the hill to the office. Not a lot of vehicles there maybe 20. Ran up to where I found first collection of boats. Looked around with Livescope. Tried a jig got a few hits. Most people were using A rigs so I spent about a 1/2 hour making one up.. Caught a few with that. Ran upstream further. Spent much of the time searching, found most of the fish in lower sections of the river.Tried different baits, caught a few on a deep diving Flicker Shad  fire tiger.  got good at watching my bait on Livescope . Fish would follow both the A rig and the Flicker Shad. Saw a few fish hit the baits. Around 1:00 decided to head home, ran into a bunch of boats  down lower so stopped to look around. Didn't see anything but a few small schools of whites . Picked up one nice white there. Went back loaded the boat and decied to clean my 6 fish there . While I'm cleaning my massive catch a Ranger boat pulled up and started unloading fish. 83 between the 3 of them. I had seen them the last place I stopped. said the caught them all there between 10:00 and 12:00  died after that. The top waypoint is where I caught fish the bottom one is where the other guys were.WT 45 rose to 47 by noon

Yep, I have been getting reports they are starting to go on the move now. Alabama rig was one of the go getters I saw and the other was just a simple chartreuse rooster tail. It is getting close to the all out run now. Although I hear another cold snap is coming so it might cool them down for a little while. The only way to avoid that $10 launch fee is go over to the Neosho side at Connors. At least that would be the closest place to get back up to spring.

Just seen on the news this morning a guy drowned yesterday at twin bridges while launching his boat. Backed in and boat and truck right in and never resurfaced. I don't like the long ride up from that launch and the idea from Conners would suck even worse. The gravel washed in at the 10 launch is really getting bad. As you back in the back of the trailer begins to ride up higher from the prop and jet wash blowing the gravel into a hump. Unless the river is pretty full it is a boat out of pickup bed or canoe/kayak launch. I agree the ten buck launch fee is a tad high but so is everything else right now.

Or 10C ramp, but that can get shallow. Oh, I don't know, a lot of people around the area have been complaining about the Twin ramp and rather large potholes in it. At least they were complaining about it since they had to pay the $10 and it still wasn't fixed. Maybe it has been since then I don't know. Too bad about the person dying though. I hate to see someone trying to enjoy a day out and something goes wrong like that.

Quick update on the guy who drowned. The body was recovered, but not in the truck like you would have thought. Apparently, he was found several yards away from the truck. Only thing I can think of is he made an effort to swim out and hypo got him? They haven't released any other details yet.

Good luck. As always you can never tell with the whites! I know they are up there somewhere, but I still think we need more rain to push them up further. Let us know how you do.

Did you go above or below 10c? I wouldn't think them to be that far up yet, but ???
