As I did for last year, I'm starting a thread to share pics of fish caught while flyfishing in 2022.  Feel free to add your own pics under this thread if you wish.

January:

Got out once...a below freezing day with @Ham .  Good start to the year with a new species for me...Ozark Sculpin.

February:

With @Ham again...Caught new-to-me species #2 of the year, Chain Pickerel.  Small one, but dang was it hard to catch! Picky buggers!  Wouldn't hit my stuff.  Ham had to force me to use his fly rod...they liked that!

...and new-to-me species #3, Knobfin Sculpin:

...new-to-me species #4, Largescale Stoneroller.  I caught one really nice one.  Ham caught 2, one was a bruiser!

A nice river Largemouth, and feisty Smallmouth:

Rainbow Trout:

Foul-hooked...doesn't count for anything....but interesting to see what's hanging around chasing the fly but too small to eat it.

Had other fishing species goals for yesterday...but the target location was 100% ice covered.  Backup location was 65% ice covered....water was clear.  only saw 3 fish, and they all spooked when I cast to them.

Option #3.  Muddy cold water, few visible fish, and they were mostly deep.  Catching was a struggle.  Managed 4 Koi and 2 Goldfish on fly gear.

Koi is still on my "to do" list. The location that I went to late last year was a bust with blind casting. Maybe with warmer weather they might be moving if they are still there.

They often move in groups...I've caught many I didn't see, but usually because I was casting to ones I DID see.  So....if you can see 'em, your chances improve exponentially.  If you don't see any...its usually just a nice day spent looking at water. 😄

Looks like it must be still tough fishing if you're only posting a single koi photo, but at least you got out. 👍

This was another one from last Sunday.  I haven't gotten back out fishing, although the weather has been really nice.  Got this thing called "work" that fills my weekdays... 😄

Here's another from that day:
