bwcballer10
Chased the whites after work on Tuesday. I knew that the forecasted rain and cold would have them on the move again afterwards. I tried Taylor first but when I pulled up there were only a handful of rigs in the parking lot, never a good sign. After fishing for 20 minutes without a bite I jumped back in the car and headed to Orleans. I walked upstream towards Taylor and started picking up a fish here and there. Ended up with my limit and threw back 4 dinks over the next 2 hours. Hopefully eventually we will get consistent warm weather and our nights will stop dipping into the 30's so that the water temps will stabilize, gotta love spring time in the Ozarks! dpitt, trythisonemv, Johnsfolly and 1 other
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 31, 2022 Root Admin Share Posted March 31, 2022 Sounds like fun. I thought about heading to Beaver Creek for the same reason. But I'm sure it's blown out for a few days. I think the whole area got 1.5-2 inches yesterday. Further east of us got more. Thanks for posting! dpitt

Hey buddy, good to see you posting again! Last outing I had was March 4th when I came and talked with you quickly before jumping in the john boat..that day was nuts!!...between the 6 of us in two boats, we boated 150+ fish..I'm hoping you and I can find an evening to chase walleyes up river a bit further this year and duplicate our trip from last April. bwcballer10
Phillip and I floated 215 to Orleans last Sunday and he picked up a walleye out of that hole where we caught all those last year. If we can ever get a favorable 7 day forecast I had planned on trying to get together for an afternoon to see what kind of damage we can do. bologna
"that hole" has been sparse on walleye this year so far due to low water but could be good now after more rain. I've checked it several times 😅 trythisonemv
bwcballer10
Thanks for keeping an eye on it for me bologna lol. That's the only time I've been above Taylor this year, I was pretty shocked at how low the water was.
