netboy Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 I went to Ackerman access yesterday and today as they have been running minimum flow in the mornings on the Norfork. Fishing was good both days. There are still some caddis coming up starting around mid-morning. Midges and soft hackles have been good before the caddis start and then the elk hair caddis dry after they start hatching. I caught a couple dozen both days with some nice rainbows in the mix. We should start seeing some sulphurs hatching soon. Hopefully the water will stay low. Here's a pic of a nice brown from this morning on the elk hair. nomolites, Ham, FishnDave and 4 others 7
Quillback Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 That is one fat brown, fairly small head for the size of the fish, must be growing fast! Johnsfolly 1
Johnsfolly Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 That is a beast of a brown! Great looking fish! Quillback 1

ColdWaterFshr Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 That is a fatty. And on an EHC? Congratulations. I think that lower access holds most of the bigger fish on the Norfork. Lot of uninteresting water, but the spots where you know to look . . .
Gavin Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 That’s a piggy on a dry, not many places you can do that. With a shape like that you would think it was a slob cannibal waiting for some rainbow guts.
