tiny fly.png

I dug into the fly boxes and made a picture of the #20 & #22 that I still have, think all were tied about '80-'84 so they show some wear from the box. As near as I can tell the ones to the left of the #14 dry hooks are #20 and the ones to the right are #22 These were all meant to be fished in the film

Yes sir.  Got them from a BUM.  Found a neat little display tank.

Success,  but this guy demolished my fly.

Demolished! Must have been one heck of a fight :) .       Good times Daryk, isn't it neat to tie and catch being in more control of what you are doing?

Well, removed most of the dubbing.  The fly was no longer as bulky as it was prior.  Hard to really cinch down the thread to lock the material without breaking the hooks.  But, as I'm just starting this adventure,  I'm sure I will get the hang of it.

@JohnsfollyI hope you didn't think I was referring to you as a bum. But the supplier of the materials.   And, thank you again for getting me started.   I've really been thinking of starting a list, but so far,  I just enjoy playing.

I do need to get out of.my local area and see what newer fish I can find, and that just may begin my list.

Who sells those little tanks?

https://anglersemporium.com/collections/microfishing is where I bought mine.  Looks like I may have gotten the last one.  Full disclosure,  I've never done business with them before.  They were quick to ship and I bought a few items on my ticket.  I would use them again.    Just a random find.

Hey @Daryk Campbell Sr I knew exactly whom you were talking about. So no hurt feelings here 😉. Reminds me that I have to get some more hooks from the BUM.

I am glad that we had a chance to meet those years ago and that you still enjoy wrangling those micros👍

I also hope that you do get out of your local spots. Some many fish to encounter and sometimes even catch and photograph. You know @snagged in outlet 3 likes those photos😁
