Back when I lived in Connecticut, I used to say that after 3 am that 33% of the drivers on the road are drunk. The other 33% is a policeman and the last one is you.😅

Toughest hours to work ever.  and when we went to 12 hour shifts it was brutal.  Never saw anyone except my buddies at work.  Family on Saturday and Sunday.  I finally quit.  People thought I was crazy but I just wasn't having anymore of it.

Know the feeling. Worse shift i worked was for almost 2 years. I rotated to cover guys days off. I worked 2 days 7am to 3pm. 2 days 3pm to 11pm. And the last 11pm to 7am. That was a week shift.

When i went to 10 hour shifts, that helped.

After becoming a D.A.R.E officer, that took me off nights and put me on days for 11 weeks a year, weekends off. . Great for family time, but not so much for stirring things up with the finest in the county.  Rest of the year was 5pm to 3am. Awesome shift if you are active.

Last span was as a K9 handler/drug interdiction officer. Lots of great memories from that task.

TinBoats BassClub.  An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
