I had always thought that the Jackalope legend was created by a clever taxidermist. Maybe this story is more the reason for the legend of this cryptic species.

Interesting.   I haven't seen any.  I would not have been ok to see one either before this article.

          Interesting John,

I will follow up with this deal. Humans with growths on the head. Like the jackalope theory maybe this is how man perceived what satin and his cohorts from hell looked like?  Whey back when no one knew what formed these and guessed. I can see folks afflicted with this being burned at the stake like an accused witch.

Of course there are Jackalopes.  Otherwise how could there be a Jackalope University?  I've seen hundreds of them, starting with the one on the wall in the hardware store in Nevada Mo.  when I was a kid.

Wall Drug - 150 miles.  5 cents coffee.

Wall is a neat little very historic town.  Got to love those badlands.  And Wall Drug is a must whenever we drive by.

Driven by several times but never stopped.  Have to do it next time.  If anything, I want one of those T-shirts.
