Back in the day, when I fished down south and did a lot of flipping/pitching into heavy cover, P line co polymer was a favorite. After moving back here I used CX in the lighter test for quite a while but never had good luck with the Flouroclear.

I've been using CXX for a few years.   I don't fish nearly as often or hard as most.  I have the smaller spools, 4lb and 8lb.   I have nothing negative to say about it.

Mono - Maxima

Hybrid - Yozuri

Braid - My preferred company went out of business, so back to Suffix

Just my opinion and experience.

Not a fan of p line.  All mono def has a shelf life and you can usually tell when it turns...

I run maxima ultra green and a soon as it turns white or gets brittle it comes off and is respooled.

I also firmly believe in keeping your reels out of the heat.  My reels kept indoors keep line for much longer than ones left in the garage or truck in the heat.

I won't buy from Amazon either as I've gotten 2 dead spools of maxima from them.  Line was white and crunchy right out of the box... again I think that shelf life comes into play.

Amazon is notorious for fakes and counterfeit. Not sure if it's a thing in the fishing world but it definitely is everywhere else.

Their inventory system is terrible, they will use many different sources for a given product and have no real control over whether they're legit or not.

I got burned on a set of Denso iridium spark plugs once. Started misfiring within a month.

I use pline fluorocarbon in 6 lb on spinning gear for all my river jerkbait fishing and it has performed great, including with some toothy critters and stripers
