Don Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Four of us limited on Hybrids by 9am on a guided trip from Cody's bait and tackle. We went out ourselves that evening and picked up two dozen crappie. We did not fish in the rain Tuesday. We picked up another two dozen crappie before we went home Wednesday. We made memories. Carl1969, BilletHead, Daryk Campbell Sr and 3 others 6 Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
jdmidwest Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Nice. I have a trip in October to Truman. Never fished it, yet. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

Don Posted August 25, 2022 Author Posted August 25, 2022 The guide asked me not to reveal. As courtesy towards him, I will honor his request. He stated people have actually followed him while driving to the ramp and followed him around the lake as well. Daryk Campbell Sr and navery 2 Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
navery Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 You passed the test! Me and Cody are really good friends and fish together. I already know where you guys were fishing. I was just doin some virtual fishing......... and he is not lying. We have had boats come over and fish within 6 feet of us when we are on hybrids. nomolites and BilletHead 2
Carl1969 Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Very nice. I'd love to get into some whites or hybrids. Been on LoZ once this year, Truman a couple times & Pomme 7 or 8 times & have caught exactly 6 crappie, with 5 from LoZ. Doesn't necessarily make me feel any better that nobody I was with/around did any better. Frustrating. Hoping things improve when it cools down some.
Don Posted August 26, 2022 Author Posted August 26, 2022 Carl. I find crappie by downloading Missouri MDC fish attractors GPX maps. Brushpiles and your current location are indicated on the lake you select. I boat to those locations until the brushpile shows up on my fish finder. Sometimes it takes several brushpiles to find one that is producing. I've been catching them on crappie bombs with minnows. Hope that helps. Carl1969 and Bassin4fun 2 Don May I caught you a delicious bass.

Ones who fish it a lot or know the patterns have hammered them all summer. Others are struggling. Seems same on Truman. Follow the Pomme de Terre Lake fishing page, usually they provide enough information to know where to start. Carl1969 1
