fshndoug Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 I consider myself extremely lucky because at 70 years old I have not been in a hospital since I was 4 years old with pneumonia. No surgeries .not on any meds, my allergies haven't bothered me since my late 20's and I get around pretty good. Still climb ladders to paint and hang sheetrock ,can fish 10 hours while standing . I feel for those that have medical problems and I hope that those that do are blessed in other ways. Johnsfolly and Quillback 2

I am too fat, and I am back on the diet train, 15 lbs. so far in 3 months. I could still stand to lose about 40 more so it will be a while. One thing about living in a community with a lot of old people is that if you start a conversation with anyone about aches and pains or past surgeries or anything medical related, then they'll one up you every time. If I have anything going on from a health standpoint I don't even bring it up because once you do, you get to listen to the long laundry list of what the other person has going on. I have found it is better to suffer in silence. Well, that happens with some fishermen also. Met a guy at the ramp last week who was taking out after a night trip as i launched at 6am. I asked if he did any good, and he said “it was pretty slow”. As soon as i said i had a pretty good morning the morning before, he started pumping his story about how great his night was. I just fired up the 250 and slowly left the dock. Quillback 1 TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.

Eats no vegetables, except potatoes. Eats no fruit, except apples. No cheese at all, ever. Never even tasted a pizza or a taco. Drinks no coffee or tea. No alcohol or tobacco. Skips lunch entirely. Eats a HOTDOG with almost every dinner. Seriously......his dessert is a Hotdog ! He'll eat a steak and powdered taters (or piece of bread)......then grab a godforsaken HOTDOG! 🤔 It's rediculous. You should have collapsed 30 years ago. 😂 Quillback and fshndoug 2

And never ever get down on the floor without a plan on how to get up. These are life skills that are very important to senior citizens. If I fall I have to find something to pull me up. Chairs and Toilets are fun. Drop something in the Shower. Oh well! oneshot
fshndoug Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 You are too funny Wrench but absolutely correct on all of it.
fshndoug Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 If I don't turn of the A/C at your house when I come to visit I should live a long life.
