Caught some crappie

Went fishing with Tom from Eagle Rock today out of the back of his boat.  It was like fishing with a guide as far as the crappie, he knew where to go and would even tell me where to cast.  He also has LiveScope which was interesting to look at, this being the first time I have seen it in action on the water.

We caught 15 keeper crappie between the two of us, right off the tops of brushpiles.  We'd catch a few and move to another pile, as they would stop biting once we pulled a few out.  

I was using Z-Man FryZ on a 1/15 oz head and Tom was using grub type deals.

We spent about 70% of our time crappie fishing, the other 30% being spent in pursuit of the elusive bass and they were elusive today.  We caught 3 that were worth mentioning, Tom getting a largemouth that was our only keeper bass.

I think I remember the WT being 69.

Nice limit of fish. I notice most are Black Crappie. Is that the predominant crappie caught on TR.?

They were all blacks as far as I could tell.  Seems to be the case for the ones I catch, but I would think there are some white crappie in the lake too.  Very healthy fish, even the 10" ones yielded a decent fillet.

There is one white crappie I can see.  All pretty nice ones looks like.
