Quillback Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Fished from dawn until 1130. I couldn't find them, and the ones I found were reluctant biters. The drop shot that was working a couple of weeks ago, was not working today. After not catching hardly any, I started pulling a Keitech around, throwing it behind the boat and trolling it using the trolling motor. Picked up a few smallmouth and a small striper trolling over 40-50 FOW. Caught a couple of smallies on top too. Ended up with 8 smallmouth and one striper. No size to the smallmouth, biggest was 14". Not much striper activity, there's a few chasing shad. I didn't see any striper guides which is an indication the striper fishing is better somewhere else on the lake. WT 70. Friday I seen several guides in the Pt 5 area …a guide on Facebook said pt 5 to PC is the best area for stripers now. Quillback 1 Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
Quillback Posted October 16, 2022 Author Posted October 16, 2022 I like fishing around point 5, but it is a long haul from where I launch.

Jeff nice looking striper from a tough day of fishing. Still a lot better than being at work. You get on more next time! Daryk Campbell Sr and Quillback 2
MarkG52 Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 I almost skipped out on church yesterday and was gonna call you and see if you wanted to go fish somewhere. I chose a beautiful day Saturday to not go fishing as well! Football officiating is catching up with me and I did a bunch of nothing this weekend since I didn't have a Saturday game. The Beav and TR should get real good pretty soon with this cold blast coming in. Quillback 1
