Yes you do!   You know that the line follows the tip of the rod.   If there's more that needs to be KNOWN about fly-casting.......I can't imagine what it would possibly be.

You either haven't been to RR or you weren't watching the same people I saw, those rods did the metronome perfectly; from  fly in the grass to splash on the water over and over just like the windshield wiper on a fixed pivot. I imagine that 80% of the Park fly casters  could benefit with 1/2 hour of your instruction and some others would need a week.

Well.....maybe take them back in time, to the place where they figured out how to crack a towel on their little brothers behind.    😅  Accuracy and velocity instantly mastered !

It wasn't about "fascination".   Pretty sure it was about torture and torment.

If by "outcast" you mean out-fish.....(cuz that's the point of it, right?)...... How else do you judge the best caster?

Nope, same pole to make it same for a casting contest. 3 casts max for total distance,  3 targets (hula hoops) at various distances overhead. 3 casts at each. Fishing contest after. I just wanna take your whiskey and you might get it back.

Of course it was . you had to looking there on purpose. My little brother is 70 years old and I've never seen his behind, if he even has one. If we wanted hurt one another it was with sticks or rocks. Don't believe that cane he carries is just  a walking stick either.

I'd sure like to watch you two casting in a contest; bet I'd pick up a pointer or two.
