FishnDave Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 Maybe its about legal culpability? If folks DO start dropping from eating contaminated wild animals, and their families try to sue the govt and chemical manufacturers...the govt/mfrs can show they warned people, but the people didn't follow their advice. If they knew but said nothing.... that would be bad. 🤷♂️ Just a thought. MOstreamer 1
Quillback Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 Lo and behold, in the news today: LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Arkansas Department of Health has issued a fish consumption advisory for walleye on two lakes in north central Arkansas. Bull Shoals Lake, located in Marion, Baxter and Boone counties, is affected as well as Norfork Lake, which covers Baxter and Fulton counties. The advisory comes after some walleye from both lakes were found to contain levels of mercury that have the potential to put human health at risk. According to the ADH, there is a scheduled meeting on Feb. 7 at the Donald W. Reynolds Library in Mountain Home beginning at 5 p.m. to answer questions on the advisory. The ADH says this advisory does not affect swimmers, skiers, boaters, catch and release activities, or other recreational uses and does not limit the use of Bull Shoals Lake or Norfork Lake as a drinking water source. Occasional fish consumers, such as vacationers and sport anglers, are at little risk for adverse health effects, the ADH says. The department says those most at risk include pregnant women, small children, and people who frequently eat walleye from Bull Shoals or Norfork lakes. grizwilson 1
fishinwrench Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 MDC, as I was told, once (and they might be still doing it) injected a growth hormone (HGH) into walleye.....and then released them either below Wappapello or below Clear lake. I can't imagine that eating those fish would be good for ya.

We are on the same page, and she was equally perplexed. Borderline offended actually.🤷♂️. Even asked me if she should throw them in the trash, or keep them. I told her to give them to one of the neighbors who go get a Covid test everytime they find themselves reaching for a tissue. If I had your address and email (and wasn't lazy) you would have to take a bag to the mailbox to get all the propaganda, test kits and free samples. fishinwrench and bfishn 1 1
