Thanks for all the great info everyone.  We usually make one or two trips and trout fish at least one of the days we are there.  Want to have fly equipment ready so all your help is greatly appreciated.  As I said, my grandson has become the trout fisherman so I need to go as much as I can with him before he out-grows me.... and I get too old.

Go for some other species as well, and take your grandson. Trout are fun but you can catch most anything on a flyrod if you set up right for it. If you only have one rod, set-up for trout, you can use that same rod for panfish and some light bass fishing. Opens up some more opportunities!
