Maverickpro201 Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 I have been using honey for several months now in my coffee and other uses. So I have been going through some. This last bottle, same brand I have been using, Turned to the crystal sugary side. What causes it and how can I fix it?
Dutch Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 I don’t know the cause but open the lid and heat it for a bit in the microwave will make it liquid again.

Unfiltered raw honey will do this it is what it is but does not deter from quality. Highly filtered processed honey that has been heated in the process will not do this, but you have taken out some of the healthy stuff such as pollen that is good for you. I would avoid the microwave and put the jar in a small pan of water and gently simmer and it will re liquify. @jdmidwest is way ahead of me in the bee and honey deal. jdmidwest Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 Billethead hit the nail on the head. Microwave will get job done, but will melt plastic if in plastic container. Double boiler on stove to 100 degrees max should melt crystals. BilletHead 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

jdmidwest Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Heating too high and fast ruins its quality. awhuber and BilletHead 2 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

Definitely open the lid. Don't be like me and heat a squeeze bottle upside down with the lid closed. You'll get a honey geyser when you open it. Daryk Campbell Sr, Johnsfolly and BilletHead 3 -Austin
