I would go either before kids get out of school or after. Popular places like Yellowstone are mobbed in the summer.
Dutch Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 Scenic not until you get to Wyoming or Colorado. Kansas and Nebraska are in the way. I have been several times. My suggestion is take a look at the states and what they have to offer. Then plan your trip based on what you want to see. You can do several lifetimes of scenic in Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. On our last trip we chose what we wanted to see one last time (Mt Rushmore, Devils Tower, Old Faithful, some of the canyons in Colorado, etc). Terrierman Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 I always wanted a mule. Mainly because I wanted to name it Jubilee. But it's a little late now. Quillback 1
bfishn Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 I have a No Mo cousin that has won lots of competitions with his mules. Some paid well. He says they get a bad rep, cause people try to treat em like horses. They're not horses. BilletHead, Terrierman and Quillback 3 I can't dance like I used to.
Quillback Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 Jumping mules are pretty neat, but even so, no way I'd ever own one. My personal opinion, based on very limited research, is that they are between horses and dogs on the intelligence scale.

Go through South Dakota, watch for pheasants, it is amazing how many of them live in SD, Black Hills are neat and a good scenic drive. Take a jog south and see Scott's Bluff, Nebraska. Terrierman 1
