Fishing Charity?

rps

Recommended Posts

Now that we are retired, the wife and I are making new wills, etc. I have an extensive collection of equipment (rods, reels, lures, tackle). No one in my close or distant family will want any part of it.

Phil, and any others, to whom do you recommend I leave it? My inclination would be to favor vets or highschoolers.

TIA

Many high schools now have fishing teams.  I was impressed to see our high school with a fishing team in the Christmas parade last night.   We are a few hours from the lakes.

I saw that last night too and was shocked there were three rigs, I guess 3 teams at my old school. My wife was a judge of the floats, I tried to influence towards them a little.
I think high schools would be good and maybe the groups taking disabled verterns fishing might be of interest.

I bought/donated a dozen combos for an assisted living facility that wanted to start taking some of the residents out. I received a nice letter and pictures shortly after. One of the best purchases I’ve made, and they use them monthly.  There are facilities in every town.

TinBoats BassClub.  An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
