Lower lake 12/13

Gave Pomme a go yesterday for crappie.  Due to the temps did not get on the water until 1100.  Water temp 51, lake down a bit, 837.8.  Had a report from a friend (who owns a tackle store) they were biting baits 8-25 FOW near structure. Think he is selling lures, I lost plenty.   The bite is lite, but only 3 keepers, fish were in the brush or suspended off structure.  Was a beautiful afternoon to be out.  Talked with a couple guys who were using the same pattern as I was, except with minnows.....They had a limit.  May try again tomorrow.  g

Had a buddy of mine called me this morning. He said that I need to get out there said yesterday was the best day he has had in long time. Timber on channel banks with jigs.

I hit it yesterday afternoon for the first time in a long time. In 2hrs I had 6 keepers and 1 short. Mostly 9.5-10"ers with one that might have gone 12. Good size for Pomme. Standing timber in the mouth of a cove.
