snagged in outlet 3 Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I was fishing a senko on braid with fluoro leader and wanted to switch to a jerk bait but didn’t want switch out reels to straight fluoro. I tied the jerk on braid/fluoro setup and got after it. I could actually feel fish swipe at it. Feeling that helped me dial in the cadence they preferred. I turned the drag way back and honestly it worked out pretty well.

I just have enough problems with braid throughout the day’s fishing that I can’t justify fishing it. snagged in outlet 3 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

I only use it on spinning reels and that’s mostly for line twist. But I rarely have any issues with it. I will say that I don’t like fishing slow moving baits with it because I feel it needs some tension, not much, going back on the reel or it’s a disaster. But I always fish top water, jerk baits, and floating worms on a bait caster. snagged in outlet 3 1

I can feel every little tick and even the bottom composition. Never have trouble with it. grizwilson and Flysmallie 2

Mostly micro knots with loops that develop after casting that either wrap around guides or develop at some point down the line. And these micro knots are so tight they can’t easily picked apart. I always pull the line taught after closing the bail by hand…in case you’re wondering. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

I wasn’t, I never have and probably never will do that. But that’s not my problem with them. I get those knots at times but not that often. But they are annoying. Mitch f 1
fishinwrench Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Spinning reels have been around since the 1930's Anybody that hasn't figured out how to use them by now should just stick to handlines and cane poles. snagged in outlet 3 1
