waterpossum Posted March 25 Posted March 25 I never found a money list other than first was 300,000. I assume it was like previous years. Second last year was $50,000. Money wise it doesn't live up to its billing
dblades Posted March 25 Posted March 25 I think I heard on TV yesterday it was a 1.1 million dollar event. However I can't find a pay-out list other than it's 10,000 minimum.

TRRANGER Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Hamner is no kid, he is 33 years old so compared to me yes a kid but from some of the 19 to 25 year old elites this year I would not consider him a kid. Yes he is a "Scoper Whiz" but he was catching several old school. I do believe that this payout is disgusting, it cost each angler $50k just in entry fees for the season and BASS and the sponsors that are being plugged the entire time the live coverage is happening are all making huge amounts of money. This was billed as the super bowl of bass fishing and to only pay out 300k to the winner, boat 150k truck 85k to 100k 50k entry lodging fuel equipment and he might have broke even after fishing 2 years on the elite series. BASS should be ashamed of themselves. Champ188 1

But he darn sure wouldn't have succeeded without it. I think your champion would have been Hank Cherry for the 3rd time, had FFS not been a factor. He and Lee Livesay both admitted to never turning it on, and they both finished high.
