Monkey Face Pickleback

Recommended Posts

Who would have known.  Lives its life never ranging more that 15' from its safe spot.  Spider monkey mated with a bowfin.  Looks like something from Wizard of Oz..

I've seen guys catch them using a stiff rod tip and a short piece of heavy line. They stick the rod tip and the baits into cracks in jetty rocks. The short line keeps the fish from getting too far into the rocks.

I’m surprised Sugar B lets you roam that far.   Don’t you have chores to do?😀

If it wasn't for her needy @$$ I'd never leave my area.   Everything she needs to survive is always 50-100 miles away, and can't be found on Amazon.  🙄

I gotta be honest.  If it wasn’t for my wife I don’t think I’d leave Missouri.   And if I did it would only be for fishing.  MI and WI smallies maybe.   I’m headed to the smokies and SC beach this weekend for a couple weeks.  Honestly I’d rather go to the condo at tablerock.   Well.   Except I like the smallie fishing in TN.

I told my buddy that I may spend my last days in TN.  Our family migrated and homesteaded the farm from TN to Wayne County MO in early 1800's and I am last to carry that family name and bloodline.  Seems only fitting to come full circle.

Good fishing, nice climate, great people, and fiscally responsible state.  Reasonable cost of living.

Yeah I'm done traveling to "new places".   I haven't experienced it ALL but I've experienced enough.   I mostly enjoy familiar places, doing familiar things.

Going somewhere new just for a couple days is a waste of time & money.  Unless I can spend a month, or at least a couple weeks, somewhere......then what's the friggin point? 🙄

I work remotely and my wife doesn’t work so we go for extended stays.   We do the same trip every year.  She likes the beach and I don’t mind it.  I really like sleeping with the window open so I can hear the waves.  Like I said.  If it wasn’t for her I probably wouldn’t go.   I’m going bass fishing a couple days on a tidal river which I really enjoy.
