We're in Europe during now started in Spain. On the island of Mallorca off the coast of Spain we had some mallards getting some beach time and walking the path along the seaside with rest of the tourist

Now in Germany where our son lives. Visiting them on our granddaughter s 1st birthday. Walking through the park there are a variety of ducks and geese. We were in the downtown area when I heard a quack. 2 mallards 15 ft over us flying down the walkway between tall buildings. Not sure where they would be going not a patch of water or grass nearby

Where in Germany is your son stationed?

I was there in 77-78.  Stationed in a little town called Oberursel at Camp King which is north of Frankfurt.  Camp King has been shut down for a while now.  It used to be a POW base for airmen in WWII.  Here's some history for anyone interested.

Had quite a number of liberties in Palma in 1971-'73, but I don't recall noticing the ducks.
