That is what I typed in for a search.

It came back a rig I've used for years.

Have an Egg Weight stopped by Split Shot. I changed to a Swivel but basically the same.

Much easier with a Split Shot.

I prefer a swivel. More to tie but those cats like to roll.

Boring

No, because once you set it you can go do interesting things. Unless you can teach me how to take them regularly on a fly?

Santee Rig would be my guess.  I wanna get back to catfishing.    Been quite a long time.

Sometimes just sitting there watching a couple of poles is pretty interesting.

Don't even need to watch them. One time I needed one fish to fill my limit.

Told this one guy I know what to do.

I started loading the pickup. Next thing I knew the guy was all excited. You have a Rod just dancing. Went reeled my fish in.

One time I was waiting for one fish.  Said a Prayer.  Had 3 Rods with fish on.

Agreed. Also they will slime all over your line😒. They fight hard but can be a pain to handle.

I have used that rig for blue cats here in MD as well as sharks and rays from the beach.

The little guys, e.g., madtoms, don't get too messy. Just have to be careful since they do have venom that can give you a nice sting or burn if you get scratched or stuck with those pectoral fins.
